Three 5-1/2 ounce cans of the finest hand picked fresh dungeness crab straight from the boat. We offload to Chucks Seafood in Charleston and process live crab within hours to give you the finest canned crab available anywhere. Perfect for a quick crab louie (try our fried avocado crab salad recipe, crab cakes, pasta or a perfect crab cocktail.
Each Crab is cooked with sea salt and a bit of citric acid. Then they are hand picked once and then illuminated by ultra-violet light in order to see any shells that might have slipped through the first picking and picked again. Its only the rarest bit of shell that survives our scrutiny to make it in the can.
We do our best preserve the delicate natural flavor and body of the crab in the canning process so you can enjoy this great seasonal treasure any time of year.
A lot of hand labor and effort goes into each can -- from the captain and crew of the Harvester braving winter weather to catch the crab to the pickers and canners on shore.
